CATRINA L. GUERRERO

Catrina was born in Corpus Christi and raised in Kingsville, Texas. She graduated cum laude from Texas A&M; University-Kingsville with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Political Science. Catrina then graduated magna cum laude from St. Mary’s University School of Law.
While at St. Mary’s, Catrina dedicated much of her time to pro bono work and working as a student attorney with the Center for Legal and Social Justice-Civil Justice Clinic. She had the opportunity to help clients in Bexar County with various probate and family law matters. Catrina also served as a staff writer for The Scholar: St. Mary’s Law Review on Race and Social Justice. Catrina’s comment was selected for publication, and she went on to become the Comments Editor in her final year. Catrina began working with Tom Nye during law school, and rejoined his team after graduating law school in 2020. Catrina assists with appeals and various first and third-party insurance defense for the Nye Law Office. Catrina’s exceptional legal research and writing skills have advanced numerous briefs, and she possesses valuable experience arguing before the 13th Court of Appeals. In her free time, Catrina enjoys staying active, attending Hooks baseball games with her husband, and spending time with her family, including her two dachshunds, Klaus and Roo. |
