LINDA C. BRECK

Linda was raised in upstate New York and received her undergraduate degree in Anthropology from the State University of New York at Geneseo. While attending law school at South Texas College of Law, she worked full-time as a bailiff/law clerk to the Honorable David Hittner, United States Federal District Court Judge, who was then the presiding judge of the 133rd District Court in Harris County. After finishing law school, Linda moved to Corpus Christi to brief for the Thirteenth Court of Appeals. She spent her first ten years as a lawyer serving as both a briefing and staff attorney to former Chief Justice Paul Nye. Linda left the Court in 1993 to join the appellate section of Brin & Brin, P.C., where she was of counsel to the firm. She returned to the Thirteenth Court of Appeals in 2007, serving for six years as Senior Staff Attorney to former Justice Rose Vela. Linda also served as interim Staff Attorney to Justice Gregory Perkes. Linda assists the firm in handling appeals, original proceedings and trial support.
