MEGAN A. KEMP

Megan is a South Texas native, born in Corpus Christi and raised in Portland, Texas. She received her B.A. from Rice University in Political Science. She received her J.D. from the University of Houston Law Center, where she served on the Houston Law Review and interned for Senior District Judge David Hittner in the Houston Division of the Southern District of Texas.
Megan began her legal career in the litigation section of a large firm in Houston. She returned home in 2009 to take a position with the Thirteenth Court of Appeals in Corpus Christi and served as staff attorney to Justice Nelda V. Rodriguez for six years. In 2015, Megan rejoined the defense bar to practice with a small Corpus Christi firm specializing in municipal government matters and personal injury defense. She began working for Tom Nye in the fall of 2016. Megan primarily assists Nye Law Office with appeals and original proceedings. She also provides general and appellate trial support for the firm's clients in cases involving medical malpractice defense and first and third-party insurance defense. |
